ABOUT THIS PROJECT

About SeeMyTax

An independent educational toolkit for exploring common Indian income-tax scenarios—not an official filing service.

What SeeMyTax is

SeeMyTax is an independent educational website that offers simple, browser-based estimators for common Indian personal income-tax planning questions. Its purpose is to help visitors explore scenarios, understand the factors that can affect an estimate, and prepare better questions before consulting official guidance or a qualified tax professional.

What you can do here

Our approach

We aim to explain assumptions plainly, distinguish estimates from official determinations, and avoid asking for identifiers such as PAN for routine calculations. Calculations are performed in the browser in the supplied static version. The tools are intentionally limited: they do not cover every income type, exemption, deduction, special rate, surcharge, marginal-relief case, filing situation or personal circumstance.

Independence and impartiality

SeeMyTax is not the Income Tax Department of India, a tax filing portal, a bank, an investment platform, or a substitute for a chartered accountant or tax lawyer. References to other calculators or brands are descriptive only and do not imply sponsorship, partnership, or endorsement.

Accuracy and updates

Tax laws and administrative guidance can change. The website labels its tools for a stated financial year, but a label is not a guarantee that every rule or edge case is implemented. Check official sources for current provisions and use the relevant financial-year assumptions. Do not rely on a calculator result alone to file a return, make a payment, or make a consequential financial decision.

Who is behind the site?

This release does not contain verified public information identifying an individual or legal entity as the operator. We will not invent a founder, professional credential, office address, or support contact. The site operator should add accurate ownership and contact information here before launch if visitors need a way to request corrections or report a problem.

Corrections and feedback

If you notice an unclear explanation or possible calculation issue, compare it with the official law or government guidance before acting. A monitored contact method should be published by the operator before the site is promoted as a supported service.
